THE BREXIT WITHDRAWAL BILL

The Bill will enable the UK to exit the European Union on 31 January 2020. Approved by the UK House of Commons on 8th January 2020, the Bill may be confirmed by the House of Lords and become UK Law on or about the date of this session or shortly thereafter. It is in effect a major constitutional change for the UK (and for the European Union with its first withdrawal) as the Transitional Stage of the Withdrawal begins.

Between 1989 and 1995, Ms. Peck served as one of the nine judges on the California State Bar Court and as its Assistant Supervising Judge in 1989; Ms. Peck implemented the State Bar’s Ethics Hotline and was the first managing editor of the California Compendium on Professional Responsibility. She has recently retired from the practice of law and resides in Georgia.
